What Is Tides Of War?

Tides of War is a 2-player card game where rival generals clash across shifting battlefields. Deploy commanders and Units, unleash clever tactics, and seize key locations. Outsmart your opponent, fight with valor, and turn the tide to victory!

How To Play

  • Tabletop view of Tides Of War being played

    Tides of War puts you in command of a faction in a war battling across multiple Fronts of the conflict and for each Front’s Strategic Locations.

  • Overhead look a Tides Of War

    Each game will consist of 8 total phases which will include: four Commander phases and four Units & Tactics phases. In each Commander Phase, Players will alternate placing Commanders of their choice into one of three open slots in any of the available fronts of combat and collecting any immediate rewards granted for doing so.

  • Player Perspective Of Tides Of War

    Most Command Cards grant Command Points, which will let you play more cards and/or more powerful cards in the next round of play or will grant you abilities or ways to score Valor to win the war!

  • Tides Of War Player Playing a Card

    In Units and Tactics Phases, Players will alternate placing Units & Tactics cards onto one of their played Commanders and collect any immediate rewards. These cards are the backbone of the conflict and will have the most direct impact on controlling the Fronts of war, capturing Strategic Locations, and collecting Valor.

  • The difference between different Tides Of War cards

    Grey cards will be played to move the front-line to control campaigns and to score valor points. Purple cards are played to capture strategic locations, either from neutral sites or from the enemy. Orange cards grant command points so that more expensive cards can be placed. Green cards signify gas attacks and are powerful tools that destroy enemy Units & Tactics cards and reverse the effect(s) of the destroyed cards. Blue cards are specialized cards that have a wide range of effects that can be strategically played.

  • Tides Of War Guide to Winning Valor

    Controlling Fronts of the War and Strategic Locations at the end of the 8th round grant Valor Points and Bonuses to the faction that owns them. The player that collects the most Valor at the end of the 8th round will be victorious!
